Program details:

  • Timing: The program will start each year in November
  • Eligibility: Must be a resident in the applicable program locations: UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Poland
  • Duration: 1 year rotation in your country of residence
  • Degree required: Engineering, graduated in the same year as application for the program

FAQ

What will I do?

Over a one year period, you will complete three assignments of four months each, in the Vertiv offices in your country of residence. The assignments will all be based in-country.
You will work as a Graduate Sales Associate in a variety of teams including sales, pre-sales, operations, engineering and marketing. The assignments will be wide-ranging. You will work on short and long term projects, taking ownership on some, supporting on others. The focus will be on developing your understanding of the company, our solutions and the sales process.
Throughout your time with us, you will be fully supported and will be part of a development program. All the work you will do will have real impact, so you can be confident that your contributions will be making a real difference.

What qualifications will I need?

Education: Graduate in Engineering (ideally Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ HVAC/ Industrial)
Languages: For all locations, we need a good working level of English plus native/very good knowledge of the local language

Do I need to be a recent graduate to apply?

Yes, and we are also looking at your extra-curricular achievements gained through:

  • Summer work experience
  • Volunteering
  • Internships & placements

You will not be eligible if you are an undergraduate.

Where will I be based?

All the assignments are based in-country. You will be located in one of the following countries: UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey or Poland. You will work from our offices located in these countries. At this point we do not sponsor accommodation for those relocating.

What is the salary and what are the benefits?

We offer a competitive salary & benefits package in each of our locations.

What is the recruitment process?

The recruitment process will consist of the following steps:

  • Online application through the email above
  • If your application is successful, it will progress through to a telephone interview
  • Online assessment
  • Final face-to-face interview
  • Offer

After each step in the process, everyone will be contacted via email regarding the outcome of their application.

If I am successful, when will I start work?

If successful, you are expected to join at the start of the program - in November each year.

Can I defer entry if I am successful?

If you are successful in securing a role on the Sales Talent Graduate Program, but can no longer commence work in November, we will not defer your entry and your place will be offered to someone else.

How can I make my application stand out?

If you are interested in our program, apply as soon as possible. Due to the high volume of applications, grammar and readability will be a factor in the short listing process. We strongly recommend that your CV cover all periods of academic, volunteering and employment.

What development will I receive?

This entire year is designed as a development program. You will receive formal training, but most importantly you will get to work alongside experts in their fields and learn as you progress in your assignments. You will learn the skills necessary to perform optimally in a sales role and will be supported to develop them while in the program. Performance & development plans will be reviewed at the end of each four-month assignment and also at the end of the program.

Will I be guaranteed a job after the Sales Talent Graduate Program?

Graduates are not guaranteed a job after the program. We do aim to hire and further develop those that have made an impact on our company during the program year.

What happens at the end of the Sales Talent Graduate Program?

At the start of your last assignment, you will be encouraged to apply for roles that are advertised. These roles will be open to both internal and external candidates.
